2024 Jeep Recon

2024 Jeep Recon

The 2024 Jeep Recon will be the first all-electric Jeep to go on sale in North America. However, beyond its innovative powertrain, the vehicle’s personality is what really sets it apart.

The 2024 Recon encompasses all of the family features destined to confront even the most demanding trails, while also offering exceptional comfort on the road. Although its equipment is similar to that of the Wrangler, its dimensions and general appearance are closer to those of a traditional SUV.

An adventurous 2024 Jeep Recon

At the unveiling of the 2024 Recon during Jeep 4xe Day, Jeep executives were unanimous: the vehicle deserves the “Trail Rated” designation, which means that it’s capable of tackling the Rubicon Trail, widely considered one of the most difficult in the world.

To achieve this, the 2024 Jeep Recon relies on the same Selec-Terrain system as other members of the Jeep family. This 4WD traction management system enables selecting the types of conditions under which the vehicle will perform, optimizing the distribution of power and torque accordingly.

Additionally, the 2024 Recon will probably include an E-Locker differential, a technology that facilitates declutching under the harshest conditions.

A range of more than 500 km for the 2024 Jeep Recon

It’s still too soon to know all the technical details regarding the 2024 Jeep Recon. However, during the vehicle’s unveiling, Jeep engineers were happy to report that it would be able to go up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. Obviously, more information will be available when Jeep introduces the standard model.

We do know that the 2024 Recon will feature removable doors and a power retractable roof, similar to those found in the current Wrangler. It will likely come with an all-new infotainment system, as well, but for now, we don’t have any further details.

The 2024 Jeep Recon is destined to be the new zero-emission model that will perpetuate the automaker’s tradition of exceptional adventurers. However, we’ll have to wait a few more months before we’ll see it at Thibault Chrysler, as it should become available sometime in mid-2024.
